Try this
pip3 install virtualenv
After that
virtualenv venv
Then activate your environment
source venv/bin/activate
And now you can install Django, I think this is better way and safe, rather than install django in a global system.
pip install django

How do I solve this ?
Any other ways to download it directly ?
I was installing some Python packages (like Numpy) directly from the prompt using pip (I use a Windows machine). Then I updated the pip from 19.0.3 to 21.0.1.
Now when I try to install a package using pip I get the following message:

Why is this happening now? Do anyone now how to solve it?
Thanks!
I just installed Python on my office machine. I had installed Python Python 3.7 - 64 bit and Python 3.8 - 32 bit both. Then I uninstalled the 32 bit as my Windows is 64 bit.
I want to install pandas using pip. But I got the following error.

To resolve this error, I performed the following series of steps.
In the command prompt. I set the following:
set http_proxy=http://username:password#proxy.server.com:8080 set
https_proxy=https://username:password#proxy.server.com:8080
I changed the directory to where the scripts folder are kept.
cd C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python37\Scripts
Then I run the following command
pip install pandas --user
It is giving me following error
ERROR: Could not install packages due to an EnvironmentError: Failed to parse: https://username:password#proxy.server.com:8080
Is this because of my corporate network settings? How can I resolve this issue?
I was able to resolve this issue.
I had a special character (#) in my password which I replaced with %23 refer link
After doing this change when I ran pip install pandas --user I got the following error.

To fix this issue I used the following command -
pip --trusted-host=pypi.python.org --trusted-host=pypi.org --trusted-host=files.pythonhosted.org install pandas --user
Result -

I am currently trying to install packages that I need on pyCharm (through the terminal and the project interpreter from the settings menu) and I keep receiving this error:

I have already researched these errors on stackoverflow as well as Github and many users are having this issue due to their company's networking it seems like (I work at a big company developing python scripts, I'm certain it is a company network issue).
I have tried these commands I have found from other threads:
pip install --trusted-host files.pythonhosted.org --trusted-host pypi.org --trusted-host pypi.python.org oauthlib -vvv
and it is still not working. Here are all the full errors and suggestions outputted by python

This is the suggested debugging method made by pyCharm:
Try to run this command from the system terminal. Make sure that you use the correct version of 'pip' installed for your Python interpreter located at 'C:\TestAutomation\venv\Scripts\python.exe'."
The latest version of pip is certainly installed and it is version 19.0.3 as of now. Thank you for your time in helping me.
