I read the py2exe tutorial and successfully convert my python code to a running exectuable.
But when i tried to run it on another computer that dont have python installed , i get the following error:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Program_Files\Pyton2_7_2\lib\site-packages\py2exe\boot_common.py", line 92, in
ImportError: No module named linecache
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "auto_create_workspace.py", line 1, in
ImportError: No module named subprocess
On my computer , even if I uninstalled python , it still works.
UPDATE
I tried to copy the dist folder to another drive on my computer and it still working.
When I copy it to network drive and run from there , I get the same error as above.
What can be the problem?
I still dont know what is the problem in py2exe, so I tried pyinstaller instead and its works

So I'm trying to figure out if I can speed up my code. For that purpose I installed pyp3. But when I try to run the python file using pyp3 I get error in the first line itself ModuleNotFoundError, But when I use simple python my code works smoothly. Is it due to python version difference ? I'm new to pyp3. Any suggestion/help would be appreciated. Thankyou

I am a beginner and learning Python. I have setup the environment with SublimeText and Python3.x
I am fine in creating code on Sublime and building it locally through Ctrl+B and for input() function I installed SublimeREPL and it works find up till now.
The issue I am facing is on Python interpreter. I am facing below error while import any package:
import tweepy
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'tweepy'
I cannot even run a Python script from there. My Python path is below:
C:\Users\waqas.FVC\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python37-32
Demo.py and hello.py are the two scripts I wrote initially which I am trying to execute from Python Terminal, but it is showing below errors:
test.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
NameError: name 'test' is not defined
Demo.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
NameError: name 'Demo' is not defined
The initial Python download includes a number of libraries, but there are many, many more that must be downloaded and installed separately. Tweepy is among those libraries.
You can find, and download, tweepy from here:
https://pypi.org/project/tweepy/
I'm having issues running ortools on Linux. I downloaded it from google's site (https://developers.google.com/optimization/) and installed it using "make install," but when I go to use it in python I get the following:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "regular.py", line 42, in <module>
from ortools.constraint_solver import pywrapcp
File "/home/m3/summer/ortools_examples/examples/python/ortools.py", line 2, in <module>
ImportError: No module named linear_solver
It looks like despite installing ortools, its still not in my python path correctly, so when I call it in the file, it doesn't find anything and returns an error, right? Any advice on how to solve this?
ive got a really annoying error , when i import a module in Eclipse
i get always that error:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Users\b_origin\workspace\test\test.py", line 1, in <module>
import win32api
ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found.
I've installed pywin32 , their folders are in C:\Users\b_origin\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python35\Lib\site-packages\ but always i get that error.
When i run python from CMD , they are being imported correctly with no errors.
Check the picture belove to see my preferences/interpreter in Eclipse
my preferences
I want to execute below command but cygwin gives the error.
Please help me.
Python makeReadingsFile.py eichstaett.net.xml test.readings.xml
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "makeReadingsFile.py", line 75, in <module>
import argparse
ImportError: No module named argparse
As noted, the error message
$ Python makeReadingsFile.py eichstaett.net.xml test.readings.xml
Python: can't open file 'makeReadingsFile.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory
occurs because there's no such file where you're telling it to look for one. Your second command looks to my eyes just like the first command:
Python makeReadingsFile.py eichstaett.net.xml test.readings.xml
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "makeReadingsFile.py", line 75, in <module>
import argparse
ImportError: No module named argparse
and you say that this is using the full address path, but since the given path is the same I think you must mean something like "when you change to the right directory". Anyway, the error message here is probably due to the fact you're using Python 2.6 or before: the argparse module was only introduced in Python 2.7.
