Haystack-Django TemplateDoesNotExist at /search/ Error - python

I am trying to integrate haystack into my Django App
Here is the DIR structure :

It's possible the problem is on file "search.html". Change this:
{% extends 'base.html' %}
by this:
{% extends 'myapp/base.html' %}

Sometimes this error is cause by failure to include your app in INSTALLED_APPS in settings.py. Check to make sure your app is installed

I'm building a web application that uses Django.
One of it's purposes is to pull data using an API call and insert that into a database to be displayed on a web page.
I'm able to pull the data but I'm having troubles inserting it into a the database.
Whenever I try I get the error
django.core.exceptions.ImproperlyConfigured: settings.DATABASES is improperly configured. Please supply the ENGINE value. Check settings documentation for more details.
I've followed the directions given by others and I haven't had any luck.

You seem to be using DJ-Database-URL since you import dj_database_url at the top of your settings.py. Either define the environment variables required by that package, or remove that import line and use standard Django settings format.

Django development server keeps logging out

I set my SESSION_COOKIE_AGE settings to 360 in my settings.py,, but the it keeps logging me out while I am developing my server :((
Why is this happening and how do I prevent this..?

I believe that only cookies age only is not enough and 360 only mean available for 360 second:

Django flatpages with tiny-mce won't work

I can't get tiny-mce to work with django flatpages.
I am using Python 2.7 and django 1.5.2
I am following the instructions at http://django-tinymce.readthedocs.org/en/latest/installation.html

The flatfiles are working but I get none of the rich text editor features.
I also don't get any error message.

I think you need to register the new form with django admin. Try replacing your models.py with this:

There are a couple of other things that might need to be fixed. The models.py won't be discovered if you don't have "cms" in your installed apps. Also, I think the extension you want is "spellchecker" not "spellcheck".

My models.py file is empty. I am simply not able to authenticate the users?
What else do I need to do. From what I found out it is just trying to authenticate against the local database. I could not get any further help from http://pythonhosted.org/django-auth-ldap/#auth-ldap-bind-as-authenticating-user

what is wrong with this code in settings.py file of my django application?

I am using Django 1.4 and Python 2.6 my operating system is Ubuntu 11.10. I am creating my Django app using these directories:

Now I want to serve my static directory for stylesheet so I configured settings.py as below:

In development you have to add a specific URL pattern to your urls in urls.py.
The Django docs talk about this in detail here.
Note that you should disable this url in production. So enable the URL pattern only in development, by doing for instance:

assuming the first STATICFILES_DIRS directory is the one containing your CSS (and other static files).
In production it is suggested to never serve static files via Django; do it via Apache or better, Nginx.
Normally, there is no need to specify if settings.DEBUG: and lines below it: they are automatically loaded w/ staticfiles installed and runserver in DEBUG mode.
What you need to do is to make the STATICFILES_FINDERS to find the css file. For the two defined in you settings.py: FileSystemFinder searches dirs in STATICFILES_DIRS, AppDirectoriesFinder searches for the css in installed apps.
Thus, copy the file to /var/dj/oneliners/static or some_installed_app/static will do the trick. Note that before you start to collect statics to STATIC_ROOT, you could simply leave STATIC_ROOT='', and, STATIC_ROOT should be different from dirs defined in STATICFILES_DIRS (could contain) because they're different in logic.
