i'm trying to install a python package on RHEL5 (old i know).

This is ok, because this host does not have access to the internet but has access via http proxy. But i can't find anything how to configure pysetup for http proxy.
I already tried exporting the proxy variables wget/curl style:
http_proxy=http://proxyhost:3128
HTTP_PROXY=http://proxyhost:3128
https_proxy=http://proxyhost:3128
HTTPS_PROXY=http://proxyhost:3128
Any idea?

"ValueError: Unable to configure handler 'processor'" error when running "airflow standalone"

I am new to airflow. I created a virtual environment and followed the steps in https://airflow.apache.org/docs/apache-airflow/stable/start.html. In the end I gave "airflow standalone" and got "ValueError: Unable to configure handler 'processor'"
(venv) hgovea155#INSML-CPXX7WW AFDocProj % airflow standalone

I then tried the fix provided by #kulasangar
I navigated to user -> airflow and changed the "logs" folder to read write and execute for all users. The "ValueError: Unable to configure handler 'processor'" error didn't occur but I received another error.

Is there a way to fix this? I believe this problem is because of some mistake in the initial setup or configuration. Can a more proper fix be found rather than a temporary one.
It seems like the user doesn't have the privilege to write logs under your airflow distribution folder.
Could you try granting write permission to the folder, so that airflow instance can write logs
sudo chmod -R 777 /home/user/airflow_logs
Please change the logs directory accordingly.

Solution: add __init__.py to toolsofknowledge directory.
The problem is quite simple -- the toolsofknowledge package was not a real package, despite being installed, as it was missing an __init__.py. This causes toolsofknowledge.__loader__ to be an instance of NamespaceLoader, when it should be SourceFileLoader. Obviously, pkg_resources cannot resolve resources relative to something that's not a real package. Arguably it should handle this case more smoothly though.

It is a basic question, I guess.

This was fixed few days after your question: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-29313
You should update your PyCharm to 2018.1.1 or higher.
I had exactly the same problem after trying to install some packages into the virtual environment. For me it was solved by recreating the environment.

ev3 closes connection when I attempt to connect through rpyc in python

I installed ev3dev on my ev3 brick so I could create programs on it with python. I am trying to use the "rpyc" library for python which can be found here. However, when I try to run this basic script which is given as an example on the link above:
import rpyc
conn = rpyc.classic.connect('192.168.137.3') # host name or IP address of the EV3
ev3 = conn.modules['ev3dev.ev3'] # import ev3dev.ev3 remotely
m = ev3.LargeMotor('outA')
m.run_timed(time_sp=1000, speed_sp=600)
I get multiple errors thrown at me through the terminal followed by the connection closing. I have followed all the instructions on the page and I also started the server script on the ev3 brick beforehand. When I run the above program the errors from python are displayed:

What is going wrong here in these errors?
Are you connecting python2 and python3? ev3dev uses python2.
Use pyenv to install python3 and use it so that your python version of PC and ev3 are the same.

You might need to run this command first to install through curl:
sudo apt-get install curl

Does nitrous.io support the endpoint library?

Developing a python project on the platform and attempting appengine endpoints.
import endpoints throws google.appengine.api.yaml_errors.EventError: the library "endpoints" is not supported. The full stack trace is below.

Start with a non-python project.
Download appengine for Linux python:
curl -O http://googleappengine.googlecode.com/files/google_appengine_1.8.9.zip
Unzip and export directory in ~/.bash_profile:
export PATH="$HOME/google_appengine:$PATH"
Build endpoint python app as described and run dev_appserver.py.
You can't view the Google APIs Explorer when launched from Nitrous.io, unless you port forward, but you can still use as a developing endpoint.
