When I am trying to run .py script file ,I am getting this error. In the script file after import the packages, I am written "from geographiclib.geodesic import Geodesic"
You might have to install the module geographiclib by running
pip install geographiclib
or
easy_install geographiclib
I resolve the issue below are the step which i follow to reslove.
1. Install PIP using command "python get-pip.py". you can download the get-pip.py file from internet.
2. Then run "pip install geographiclib".
3.finish

When I do python -m pip install 'uwsgi==2.0.*'
I'm getting:
/usr/bin/python: No module named pip
which pip gives:
/home/snowcrash/.local/bin/pip
If I do pip I get:
pip
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/home/snowcrash/.local/bin/pip", line 5, in <module>
from pip._internal.cli.main import main
ImportError: No module named pip._internal.cli.main
This does not seem to help /usr/local/bin/python: No module named pip
I don't know your exact situation, but this suggestions can be helpful:
To fix the No module named pip._internal.cli.main error
It seems like you have a broken pip. I mean, incomplete (and incompatible) parts of pip living in the same Python distribution, that generates... a useless pip. That's why you hit with those weird errors.
Something you can do is re-installing pip (from scratch). Consider tools like get-pip.py or python -m ensurepip. See the reference of this problem at this GitHub issue.
To fix the error with python -m pip
Also, you may have Python 2 installed in addition of Python 3. To verify that, run python --version. If you get a Python 2 version, try python3 --version. If you don't get errors (and receive a Python 3 version), replace python -m pip with python3 -m pip. That should fix your No module named pip issue. Also, you can run python3 -m ensurepip (or python -m ensurepip, if python3 doesn't exist).
However, if that doesn't work, maybe you will have to re-install the whole Python.
I want to extract tables from pdf and for that
I used Camelot. But I'm getting this error whenever I try to import it:
import camelot
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<ipython-input-11-679d8f55abf0>", line 1, in <module>
import camelot
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'camelot'
I've tried installing camelot using:
pip install camelot-py[cv]
and
pip install camelot-py[all]
but I'm getting the same error again and again. How do I remove this?
Your help would be appreciated!
Check for your python version by writing python --version in the command prompt with the path where python is installed.
For python 3.7, try:
pip install camelot-py
https://pypi.org/project/camelot-py/
I hope this works for you.
If using conda (this is what I'd recommend):
conda install -c conda-forge camelot-py
If using pip (may have to manually handle dependencies): pip install camelot-py[cv]
Official installation instructions: https://camelot-py.readthedocs.io/en/master/user/install.html#install
Try to install Camelot in correct python version directory using
''''python2.7 -m pip install''''
Use your python version number instead of 2.7 above
In your python environment you have to install padas library.
You can install Camelot python with following command:
pip install Camelot
After the installation of Camelot python library, ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'Camelot' error will be solved.
Thanks
I have installed python 3.7 and want to do some forecasting using fbprophet (https://facebook.github.io/prophet/docs/installation.html#python)
But I get this error when installing the package using the command (pip install fbprophet)
import pystan
File "e:\repos\usf\venv\lib\site-packages\pystan\__init__.py", line 9, in <module>
from pystan.api import stanc, stan
File "e:\repos\usf\venv\lib\site-packages\pystan\api.py", line 13, in <module>
import pystan._api # stanc wrapper
ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found.
I have done some research and got to know that this is possible with conda. But I am looking for a solution without using conda.
Thanks in advance.
It says in the Pystan documentation that configuring a C++ compiler can be challenging on Windows. Following approach worked for me to install Pystan 2.17.1 and FBProphet 0.6:
Install C++ compiler, mingw-w64 (http://mingw-w64.org/doku.php/download) -> I selected this one https://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/files/
Add C:<MinGW_w64 installation directory>\bin to the PATH environment variable
Create a distutils.cfg file with the following contents in the folder \Lib\distutils in Python install directory (in venv):
[build]
compiler=mingw32
[build_ext]
compiler=mingw32
pip install numpy cython
pip install pystan==2.17.1
Verify the Pystan installation (https://pystan.readthedocs.io/en/latest/windows.html)
pip install fbprophet==0.6
Follow https://github.com/facebook/prophet/issues/1939
I had similar issues even after installing Mingw
conda install libpython m2w64-toolchain -c msys2
Solved all the errors and i am able to install fbprophet finally
Thanks
I had similar issues with my Python3.6 (anaconda)
I reinstalled anaconda for all users (with admin privileges) then
"conda install -c conda-forge pystan"
later i updated all other modules
it works without any error now
Sorry that I have no idea how to describe this situation. The bigger package I like to install is "finance" (http://pydoc.net/finance/0.2502/finance.bankdate/). I downloaded it and unzipped to install using python setup.py install.
However, I cannot resolve importing another sub-module
bankdate(.py)
When I use finance module, there comes the error message, "ImportError: No module named 'bankdate'.(It is required in "__init__.py" under finance.) bankdate.py seems to be file under finance folder. How could I install "bankdate"?? Does anybody help me with this??
Thank you~!
cf) pip install bankdate, easy_install bankdate don't work in this case.
I do not know if you are working with Linux or Windows. But it would be a good start checking if the package was installed properly. You could use the following code to check installed packages and its versions:
import pip
installed_packages = pip.get_installed_distributions()
installed_packages_list = sorted(["%s==%s" % (i.key, i.version)
for i in installed_packages])
print(installed_packages_list)
By doing so packages installed using both setuptools and pip will appear in a list below. If your package does not appear in the list there you have, it was not installed.
Neverhteless try to import the module usign this:
from finance import bankdate
And see if the error continue. Hope it helps.
you can use pip install finance or you can download .whl file use pip intsall .whl
you can try
I just installed Gubbins using their homebrew instructions. Everything seemed to go smoothly and gubbins is now in /usr/local/Cellar/gubbins/1.1.1/bin/gubbins. I'm supposed to be able to use it by running their script run_gubbins.py and giving it an input file. But I get the following error:
>$ /usr/local/Cellar/gubbins/1.1.1/usr/bin/run_gubbins.py test.fasta
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/local/Cellar/gubbins/1.1.1/usr/bin/run_gubbins.py", line 25, in <module>
from gubbins import common
ImportError: No module named gubbins
Looking inside the run_gubbins.py script I see that the first things it does is
import sys
sys.path.append(".")
import argparse
from gubbins import common
So what might be happening? How come the script within a program package is not recognizing the program it came with? Is there anything I can do to fix this? Thank you so much.
Install homebrew from brew.sh
Open a terminal and enter these commands
curl https://bootstrap.pypa.io/ez_setup.py | python - --user
export PATH=~/Library/Python/2.7/bin:${PATH}
easy_install pip
pip install --user dendropy
pip install --user biopython
pip install --user reportlab
