Cannot import tensorflow - python

I thought I had installed tensorflow correctly. I am using python 3.5.2 so it should work. I followed the instructions on the website and installed the CPU only version of tensorflow using pip which seemed to work. However, when, in python, I try to:

I get the error:

Tensorflow - No module named '_pywrap_tensorflow_internal'

Currently I am trying to get tensorflow - Windows 64bit (just the cpu version) running on my pc. When running the command python object_detection/builders/model_builder_test.pyI get the error below. I searched online, and 99% of the answers are to use cd, which I think I've tried but that didn't work. I say 'I think' due to me not knowing whether I actually correctly tried using cd - as I was not 100% on how I was going to use cd in my scenario.

Thanks in advance!!
I was able to fix it myself, here's how:
On the github page
https://github.com/tensorflow/tensorflow/issues/17386
, I found out that a cause of this problem can be caused due to the CPU lacking AVX instructions. Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) are a set of instructions for doing Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD) operations.
I was running an Intel Core Duo, which does not appear on the list of all AVX compatible AMD and intel CPU's , which can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Vector_Extensions#CPUs_with_AVX
On that github page, a user by the name of fo40225, had compiled a .whl for tensorflow, that had been built without AVX. It can be found here: https://github.com/fo40225/tensorflow-windows-wheel/tree/master/1.9.0/py36/CPU/sse2
First I had to uninstall tensorflow with pip uninstall tensorflow, then I reinstalled it using the .whl that has been built without AVX using pip install /example/path/to/.whl
After installing the problem was fixed!

I install tensorflow like this :
pip3 install tensorflow
I use python 3.5.3, with Windows 10 Pro.
I re-install several times tensorflow but I can't solve this issue.
I know that this problem has been solved many times but not with CPU-only tensorflow. That's why I asked you this question.
How can I do that.
Thanks in advance for your response.
EDIT : I found that tensorflow is trying to import _pywrap_tensorflow_internal as a module but in fact it's a *.pyd
I encountered the same issue and the problem was with the version of TensorFlow. Follow the below steps in order to remedy this situation:
Open the terminal via Anaconda navigator.
Run the command:
conda install tensorflow
Try importing tensorflow again and it will just work fine.

I googled about my problem but I'm not able to find any relevant solutions, I am using python 3.6.4 on a Windows 10 64-bit machine.
What is causing this exception? What am I missing?
Your CPU's lack of AVX instruction set can cause this error.
Tensorflow 1.6.0 needs your CPU support AVX instructions to get work.
Release 1.6.0
Breaking Changes
Prebuilt binaries are now built against CUDA 9.0 and cuDNN 7.
Prebuilt binaries will use AVX instructions. This may break TF on older CPUs.

tensoflow-gpu install issue

I've been using tensorflow for a couple of days running on the CPU, but I decided to start using the GPU instead. So, I installed CUDA and tensorflow-gpu via pip, but it didn't work, so I uninstalled both versions of tensorflow, and installed tensorflow-gpu again. The following message appeared:

Anyone encoutered similar error before?
CUDNN might be one of the reasons. cuDNN v6.0 does not work for many people. Try with cuDNN v5.1. What is the version of cuDNN you are using ??
Importing from inside GIT folder is also one of the reasons.
I recommend you to install both CPU and GPU versions in separate virtual environments. You can use python's inbuilt virtual environment or my preference would be anaconda. Keeping both versions independent from each other should solve the problem.
