Install packages with conda - channel error - python

I am new to Python and Conda. I am trying to install a package called DavGIS. I downloaded this package and I downloaded Anaconda. Then I opened Anaconda Prompt and tried to install the package with the command conda install davgis. This gave an error message regarding not begin available on current channels.
Then I tried pip install davgis, but this gives an error as well. In the picture the commands and errors are showed. I am using Windows 10 64-bit and Anaconda with Python 3.6
Errors installing package:

You cannot install this package, because there is no package. A python package contains a file called "setup.py". And to install it with pip (or conda) it need to be referenced on their server.
If you want to use it in your project, you can copy it directly in your source folder (where your code is).
If you wanna do it without copying, you can follow this method: How to install Python module without setup.py?

python library install Questions

I use Python and pycharm as a tool.
If you use the pip statement to install the library, you will get an error.
For example, if I want to download the torch (1.6.0) version and type pip install torch==1.6.0,
It says no version.
This is not the end, but some libraries continue to cause strange conflicts and will not be installed.
For example, if you type pip install poro to install the poro library, an unknown error pops up and the installation fails.
I'm not asking for a pororo installation.
My question is, I want to know how to download the library without relying on pycharm.
I want to download it separately from a site like pypi and put the library directly into the virtual environment (conda).
What should I do?
The following worked for me:
First, install mkl using conda:
conda install -c anaconda mkl
Then run this:
conda install -c pytorch pytorch

Installing a package from git in Anaconda environment which is afterwards not recognized in Python

I'm trying to install a python package directly from github. In my case that's SciANN. When I selected my environment in conda using conda activate myenv and afterwards install this package as explained in this post using the following lines of code:
conda install git pip
pip install git+git://github.com/sciann/sciann.git
it is successfully installed and I get the message "Successfully built SciANN" in the end of the insatllation procedure. When I then open spyder and type import sciann I get the error ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'sciann'. I also tried to use pip3 instead of pip but this did not change something.
Have I missed something? Is this package now installed correctly into my environment myenv?
The deleted answer from Jay Prakash together with the comments brought me on track. Yes there can be different versions of packages installed. So in my case SciANN was installed using pip as they currently do not offer a conda installation while all my other packages where installed with conda. I ended up having two different versions of tensorflow installed, one from pip and one from conda so I deleted one. Additionally I used Python version 3.7 while this package supports only up to 3.6. And I had to use a non official tensorflow version because my CPU does not support AVX which is a whole new topic.

Pip inside virtual environment throws error

I am using virtual environment in python. When I use pip list command or any command to install packages it throws an error.
from pip._internal.distributions import (
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pip._internal.distributions'
When I check the version pip -V inside venv it shows the version of pip (i.e. no error, working great). But, it is not working in any other commands. Please ask if I did not make it clear.
Thank you!!!
EDIT:-
I am using Windows 10 Pro. I installed python from their official website of version 3.8.1 using the windows installer. And, my pip version is 20.0.2 I installed pip by adding get-pip.py in bin file. I think there should not be any problem.

Error installing from GitHub using pip on Windows

I am on a Windows machine and I want to install a Python module from GitHub using pip directly from IPython.
The simplest command that seems it should work is:
!pip install https://github.com/japerk/nltk-trainer.git
I have also tried:
!pip install https://github.com/japerk/nltk-trainer.git#egg=nltk-trainer
I've used variants including -vvv, etc.
However, I'm getting the following error. Why?
Cannot determine archive format of C:\Users\timo\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-build-183bwemw\nltk-trainer
go to the https://github.com/japerk/nltk-trainer and download the project zip file. extract the zip file and put it somewhere in your computer.
open command prompt in windows and go inside the folder that you extracted earlier(you must be in the folder that has setup.py file in it).
enter the following command: python setup.py install
python tries to install nltk-trainer . during installation some other dependency might be installed too. you need numpy and scipy to be installed. if any problem happened during installation of numpy or scipy try installing them manually first by using pip install numpy and pip install scipy
if you can't install numpy and scipy using pip command use the following link:
http://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/pythonlibs/#scipy
this site has compiled version of these libraries ( and other libraries if you need to install them too) you can download .whl file that is based on your python version and os architecture and install them using pip install filename.whl command ( you need to be in the folder that your whl file is) for example for python3.4 and 64bit operating system you may download scipy‑0.16.0‑cp34‑none‑win_amd64.whl file.

How to install pip in python 3.4 on windows?

I'm really struggling at installing any python modules (e.g six, yahoo_finance) because they require pip to be installed, but I don't know whether I have pip already or how to install it. Once its installed I don't know what command to type in and where to type it in. Can I install these modules any other way without pip?
I am only a beginner, so sorry if this is a bit basic.
Thanks in advance
pip comes already bundled with python 3.4 It will be in your scripts directory C:\Python34\Scripts\
Add it to your Environment variables and you can run it from any directory or else open the directory mentioned above in command prompt and run pip install ... to install whatever you want
First, make sure you have it installed, if not follow the instructions below. Type which pip, and if it doesn't list an URL, it means it's not installed yet.
Go here https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py and download the file.
Then open terminal and go to your downloads folder (or wherever you downloaded it to) and type python get-pip.py to execute the script. If you get an error that says OSError: Permission Denied, or something similar, run it with administrator permissions.
If the installation is successful, you should now have pip installed on your computer. Type pip --version to make sure you have it installed.
To install six and yahoo_finance, type:
pip install six
and
pip install yahoo-finance
If something goes wrong update your question.
From Installing Python Modules:
pip is the preferred installer program. Starting with Python 3.4, it is included by default with the Python binary installers.
Emphasis mine
If you already installed it by default you should be able to use it.
Just open the command line and type python -m pip install SomePackage.
