I have the following Dockerfile:
FROM python:2.7
RUN pip install MySQL-python==1.2.5
I build it like this:
docker build -t my-image .
But it fails. Below is the failure. How can I get this image to build successfully?
I swear this was working last time I tried it a few months ago.

Please note that I have already checked out many questions opened for this same issue. But none of the suggested fix working for me.

This Issue is fixed now for me and for that I did 2 things:
1 - Installed wheel package
pip3 install wheel
2 - I followed this thread - Git is not working after macOS Update (xcrun: error: invalid active developer path (/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools)
try to install the latest version of mysqlclient
mysqlclient==2.0.3
version 2.0.3 worked for me in python 3.9 (win)
I'm trying to deploy my flask application on a cpanel with CloudLinux license, I need some modules, but when I try to install mysqlclient and flask-mysqldb I get errors, I have seen that people have a lot of problems with this module and I have seen how to fix it but in Ubuntu, Debian, etc... and I would like to know how to fix it in CloudLinux, here is the error when I type pip install mysqlclient:

MySQL provides their own version of MySQL adapter - MySQL connector, an all-in python module that uses MySQL API with no C modules dependencies and only standard python modules used.
It works inside the CloudLinux CageFS without the installation of any modules or modifications of any configs.

I can install and use it using psycopg2-binary but I need to install this because it's a dependency (for django-heroku).
I tried installing libpq-dev but got this error:

I'm unable to install pip install mysqlclient and it returns an error. I want to use the Connector/Python.

Looks like you don't have openssl installed. Try brew install openssl
If you're still getting the error when openssl is installed you'll probably need to:
brew unlink openssl && brew link openssl --force
and then run the export LDFLAGS and export CPPFLAGS comands it outputs.
I am trying to run my windows created python script on MacOS.
I have managed to install all of the needed modules apart from MySQLdb.
I am trying to install from pip3 using this command:
pip3 install mysqlclient
But get a massive error:

I have tried multiple forum posts that I have found and nothing is working. I have also tried to build from Source but I get an error about ConfigParser not being installed - which it has been via pip.
Please could someone help?!
P.S Pip has been updated to the latest version.
