I'm searching for the best way to connect my app to multiple servers. For example, I need to send one message to IP 192.168.1.3 and then another message to IP 192.168.1.4.
I'm using mySocket.sendto(data, (IP,port)) but it is slow for me.
Exists another way to do this more efficiently?
Pseudo-code:
mySocket = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET, socket.SOCK_DGRAM)
mySocket.settimeout(1)
self.mySocket.bind((MY_IP, PORT))
Then I use a function to send:
mySocket.sendto(data_to_send, (IP_1, PORT))
data_rcv1, addr = mySocket.recvfrom(1024)
sleep(0.1)
mySocket.sendto(data_to_send, (IP_2, PORT))
data_rcv2, addr = mySocket.recvfrom(1024)

I am trying to connect a server to a client in python with sockets.
The problem is that with ipv6 binding, it works on my local network. What I want is to connect it to another network. These programs are written in Python 3

Problem is that only first message is display. How can I solve this problem?
The server receives data only once after accepting a connection from the client. In-order to receive continuously, you can have a while loop for receiving data from the client.

So, the above code will receive data as long the user provides data. You can separate the data receiving part in a separate thread too.
As you have the client's connect outside the loop, you have to place the server's listen and accept also outside the loop, since the connection is to be established only once.
Note : This problem has been completely solved, as was am running client.py before server.py
Just got started with socket programming, I have created the below code and expecting to print some byte message, but it isn't doing that.
I just want to make the message available for any person on any
machine. But it's refusing by the machine to do that.

It looks like in the server.py script you use s.bind((socket.gethostname(), port)) where socket.gethostname() is a hostname, but in the client.py script you use s.connect(('192.168.0.1', port)) where '192.168.0.1' is the hostname you are trying to connect.
I think there you have socket.gethostname() != '192.168.0.1' and that's the problem.
Also, you can bind to all available IP addresses on the host using this solution Python socket bind to any IP?
Let's use listen_ip = socket.gethostbyname(socket.gethostname()) for connection since socket.gethostname() may return hostname instead of IP and it will not be solved by python dns resolver in local network if it was local name, not DNS.
and use it later as s.bind((listen_ip, port)) and s.connect((listen_ip, port))

In a chat conversation we concluded that the hardcoded IP in the question is not the correct one. This solution does have the IP he needed but it will be different in each case. Remeber that server.py needs to be launched first, and when you see the printed Server listening # IP:12048, write that IP in client.py and launch it. Client does need to be launched after seeing that line even if you already know the IP, as the server needs some time to be ready and the client will crash if it tries to connect to the server while it is not ready.

I'm trying to make a chat app in Python and I'm having some trouble.
I made a server on which I can connect successfully by using the local IP address. However, when I try to connect to it on an another device with my public IP address, there seems to be a timeout, no errors occur and it's continuously trying to connect.
Edit: I've already set up port-forwarding for my IPv4 address. And the client is using the public IP.

Well, first of all, is your server in a network with other devices? If you have a router there, the IP you see in whatsmyip.com is the router's, not your computer's, IP. So you'd be trying to connect to it.
You can check that with the command netstat.
I'm trying to take incoming data from one port and stream it to a port on another computer. Here is what I have so far:

But I'm not sure where to put the outgoing port. The IP for the home server that I'm pulling data on has an IP of say 192.1.1.1 and is streaming data in from port 8787. The remote server has an IP of say 192.1.1.2 and it's listening on port 8788. I'm not sure where I need to put port 8787, which is where the home server is pulling in the data from. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks!
If that last code you quoted runs on your 192.1.1.1, you need to call listen("localhost", 8787) in the last line instead of listen("localhost", listenPort), and you should be fine. listenPort refers to the port where the server that the data is being forwarded to (192.1.1.2) is listening, while listen expects the port where the current machine (192.1.1.1) listens for input. listen then calls forward (telling it to use the same port for the outgoing connection).
