I'm trying to implement auto arima in my python 3.7 on Windows10 So I tried to install pyramid-armia using following command
pip install pyramid-arima
But I'm getting error message
Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement pyramid-arima (from versions: )]
No matching distribution found for pyramid-arima
I also tried steps mentioned here
But got the same error message
Can you please guide me to install it?
This error might be because there is no version of package that fits combination of versions of your Python, Operating System, Cpu Type and Instruction Set.
That package is out-dated and abandoned, hence not installable, use new replacement, which is pmdarima package:
pip install pmdarima
and import like:
import pmdarima

If still you're getting same error for new pmdarima then download .whl package directly from here.
You need to download package corresponding to your python version and windows bits. E.g. if you have Python 3.7 and Windows 64-bit then download pmdarima-1.7.1-cp37-cp37m-win_amd64.whl (or with win32 suffix for 32-bit windows), here cp37 means CPython version 3.7.
Then just install it like this:
pip install pmdarima-1.7.1-cp37-cp37m-win_amd64.whl
Also many trouble-some Windows prebuild .whl packages that have problems with installation/compilation are located here. I've often downloaded this prebuilt packages from there, when haven't succeeded with pip install. But for the case of pmdarima it is located at the first link but not second.

When I try
pip install torch, I get

Searching on here stackoverflow I find that the issue is I need an older verson of python, currently I'm using 3.11. That post said 3.8 but was written some time ago, so how do I find the latest version of python that will run pytorch? I couldn't find it easily on the PyTorch pages.
Pytorch supports Python 3.10.
Python 3.11 isn't fully supported yet.
You can always check torch archive or torch nightly to see if your desired version is supported.
While the Python3.11 is not officially supported as of now (Feb 11, 2023), if you are on Linux you can install the Python3.11 version of Pytorch 1.13.1:
wget https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu117/torch-1.13.1%2Bcu117-cp311-cp311-linux_x86_64.whl
pip3 install torch-1.13.1+cu117-cp311-cp311-linux_x86_64.whl
Just note that this is not yet available on Windows or other major OSes.
If you want to give the new version a try on Other OSes such as Windows or Mac, you need to use the nighly builds.
For example for Windows inside powershell do :

I've run into an odd issue where pip just won't work. I'm using the latest version of PyCharm, and I've tried both Python 3.8.10 and 3.9.6.
I've done clean installations of both, removed from PATH, reinstalled with new installer, reinstalled pip, etc.
The error code I run into appears no matter what library I am trying to download. I've tried PyAudio, PyGame, OpenCV-Python and others.
Pip was working fine a couple days ago, and no changes have been made to any files in that time.
Attempting to run pip install --upgrade pip does not have an effect.
I've been running off virtual enviroments with setuptools 40.8.0 and pip 21.1.3 installed.

Py- audio - it's not compatible with your Py charm I suppose due to the latest install updates, try to install it on the main environment. Also, try to downgrade your version of python as many dependencies are not compatible with your version of python as stated by error[it is not compatible with this Python]
Open Cv - Fails to build the wheel package as it is attributed also in error [CMake was unable to find a build program corresponding to "Ninja". CMAKE_MAKE_PROGRAM is not set. You probably need to select a different build tool.]

I am trying to install tobii_research for a project and I was following the instructions on http://developer.tobiipro.com/python/python-getting-started.html
I already have python 3.7.6 and pip 21.1.2 installed on my Mac.
When I run pip install tobii-research I get:
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement tobii_research (from versions: none)
ERROR: No matching distribution found for tobii-research
Was there something I forgot to install?
I can not for the life of me figure out how to install this manually either.
Help with pip, or installing manually would be greatly appreciated, but you might have to explain it to me like I am stupid.

It appears that you are not running the correct python version for the versions of the package that are available. If you look at the wheel files available on the tobii-research Downloads page, the software is packaged for either python 2.7 or 3.6.
When trying to install this package myself, I get the same error message as you when trying to install it for python 3.8, but the package installs successfully with my python 2.7 installation.
I would recommend installing a compatible version of python and then running pip through that version using the following command:
[specific_python_installation] -m pip install tobii-research
Try doing it with pip again, but replace the underscore with a hyphen as shown below:
pip install tobii-research
I saw on the PyPi website that they only have it for Python 3.8, so I downloaded that Python version from their official website and installed it (do not add it to path).
Then, I created a virtual environment selecting 3.8 as the Python version (refer to this answer) and activated that virtual environment.
Finally, I run pip install tobii_research and it worked.
One thing that helped me - required Python version. For example, for the version 1.10.2 (which is current at the moment of writing this) only Python 3.10 is supported. Check the list of files distributed within this version.
I was able to install the package on Windows with Python 3.10 but on MacOS I had the same problem and wasn't able to resolve this - I assume it's a problem with the architecture, as there is no version for arm64 if you have a Mac with M1 processor.

I've tried to install it in a python 2.7 environment, but it didn't work.
Also tried to specify the latest version pip install tensorflow-compression==1.2, but it also didn't work.
At the time of writing this, prebuilt wheels of tensorflow-compression exist only for Linux/MacOS. Quoting the readme:

To use these packages on Windows, consider using a TensorFlow Docker image and installing tensorflow-compression using pip inside the Docker container.

I can not for the life of me figure out how to install the package statsmodels for Python 3. It feels like I've tried everything, but nothing is working.
Goal: import statsmodels in python
I start with:
pip install statsmodels
Main error messages:
Failed bulding wheel for statsmodels.
Cython is required to compile statsmodels from a development branch.
Please install Cython or download a source release of statsmodels.
So I try:
pip install cython
Gives:
Requirement already satisfied: cython in c:users\XXX\appdata\roaming\python\python36\site-packages
I installed cython by installing anaconda. I have tried almost all answers I could find by basic googling. But things just don't seem to be working.
Instead of listing the input\output of what I have tried I now only show the first steps, but let me know if you want to see the output of any commands.
How do I continue from here? Any help is appreciated, I've been trying to fix this for several days now and I'm only getting frustrated.
Right now I'm trying:
easy_install cython
This seemed to work, but afterwards pip install statsmodels didn't work.
Command ... failed with error code 1.
I tried:

cd statsmodels
pip install .
And failed with a bunch of errors.
I ran into this same problem lastnight trying to install statsmodels. Finally what worked was installing the Microsoft Visual C++ compiler for Python found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=44266 then installing statsmodels by doing pip install statsmodels. I had already installed Cython by using pip. Though I do realize that was for Python 2.7. There doesn't seem to be this compiler available for Python 3.
The main statsmodels on PyPI is very old and uses a nonstandard setup. The release candidate for 0.10.0 is out now, and I would strongly recommend you use this one. You can install it using
pip install statsmodels=0.10.0rc2 --pre
It has wheels for all of the major platforms (Win/OSX/Linux), so you shouldn't see issues related to Cython.
To install statsmodels under anaconda, use
conda install statsmodels
The package is available in the repository of anacondata in version 0.8.0 which is the latest on pip as of now.
anaconda is not "just" a Python installation, it also contains the conda package manager that can install pre-built packages from the main repository of anaconda or from other "channels". It is not advisable to install packages that are available from the anaconda channel with pip, in general.
A comment on the issue of Cython here: to use Cython, your computer needs also a "development environment", that is the availability of a C compiler, of the Python development headers, among others. The C compiler must be compatible with the version of Python for which Cython is installed.
