ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'mlxtend' - python

Hello Everyone,
I have an issue I have to immediately deal with it. I installed mlxtend and used the library for apriori(market research). In my first attempt it worked then next day I tried to update it with new data but it gives exactly this error ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'mlxtend'. And I read everywhere to find where my mistake is? Sadly, I couldn't find it. I updated my mlxtend to current version however, again I faced with the exact, same problem. When I try to install mlxtend I got this as it is expected "Requirement already satisfied". I would appreciate and be glad if you have any suggestions? By the way, thanks to everyone who read this.

Are you installing it in the Conda shell or somewhere else? To ensure it gets installed in the correct environment type
%pip install mlxtend
from within the Jupyter notebook (in a cell at the top) that you are working in and execute that cell.
If it installs successfully you can comment out that cell or remove it.

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'h5pyViewer'

I have a question regarding h5pyViewer to view h5 files. I tried pip install h5pyViewer but that didn't work. I checked on Google and it states that h5pyViewer does not work for older versions of Python, but that there are a few solutions on GitHub. I downloaded this with pip install git+https://github.com/Eothred/h5pyViewer.git which finally gave me a successful installation.
Yet, when I want to import the package with import h5pyViewer it gave me the following error: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'h5pyViewer'. However when I tried to install it again it says:
Requirement already satisfied: h5pyviewer in c:\users\celin\anaconda3\lib\site-packages (-v0.0.1.15)Note: you may need to restart the kernel to use updated packages.
Any ideas how to get out of this loop or in what other way I could access an .h5 file?
There could be so many things wrong so it's hard to say what the problem is.
The actual package import has a lowercase "v": h5pyviewer (as seen in your error message).
Your IDE/python runner may not be using your Conda environment (you can select the environment in VSCode, and if you are running a script in the terminal make sure your Conda env is enabled in that terminal)
The GitHub package might be exported from somewhere else. Try something like from Eothred import h5pyviewer.
Maybe h5pyviewer is not even supposed to be imported this way!
Overall, I don't suggest using this package, it seems like it's broken on Python 3 and not well maintained. The code in GitHub looks sketchy, and very few people use it. A good indicator is usually the number of people that star or use the package, which seems extremely low. Additionally, it doesn't even have a real readme file! It doesn't say how to use it at all. Suggest you try something else like pandas. But if you really want to go with this, you can try the above debugging steps.

Using Matlab.engine and installing tensorflow at the same time

Currently I am working on a project with Jupyter Notebook in which I need to run a matlab script (.m) which includes a function that provides me with data which i try to solve with a tensorflow model afterwards. I can set up an environment that runs the matlab code an gives me the data and I can set up an environment that does the tensorflow thing but my problem is I can`t do it in the same environment.
Here is the setup and the problems. I am using matlab.engine which I installed like described here: https://de.mathworks.com/help/matlab/matlab_external/install-the-matlab-engine-for-python.html
To run my Jupyter Notebook I first navigate to the location where my python.exe and the matlab files are lying ("C:\Users\Philipp\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python37-32\Scripts"). If I try to run pip install tensorflow (in Anaconda Prompt) I got a lot of different errors like the following. Conda install works but even when it is installed i can`t import it.
ImportError: No module named 'tensorflow.core' or
ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement tensorflow or just No module named 'tensorflow'
I searched for all those problems but nothing helped me. I think this has something to do with the directory I am working in and I know it is bad but I have no idea how to change that. The error also occurs in different environments.
Have you tried running !pip install tensorflow directly in Jupyter Notebook? It's a temporary workaround, but I am having the same problems and this one helped. Remember to comment it out after installation, so you wont re-run it by accident.
I found a solution to my problem. For this I needed a Jupyter Notebook and an external .py script that I design as a Flask. I can luckily run those in different environments. I past and request the data from the server by using "get" and "post".
If someone still has another idea to do all this in one JN, I would still be happy about answers.

Spyder cannot find module named 'pandas_datareader'

First off I would like to say that I am aware that this question has been asked before, however, none of the other posts have offered a solution that resolves the problem.
I am trying to use pandas-datareader to grab stock prices from the internet. I am using windows with python version 3.6. I first installed pandas-datareader from the console using
pip install pandas-datareader.
I then wrote a code which used the line
import pandas_datareader.data as web
It came back with the error
`ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pandas_datareader'
I tried to redownload pandas-datareader, just in case it didn't work the first time, but the console came back with "Requirement already satisfied" so that wasn't the problem.
From there I uninstalled pandas-datareader, and reinstalled it with
pip3 install pandas-datareader
I still got the same error message.
I was worried that it might have something to do with old versions of python installed on my computer so I deleted all files for python 2.7, but this did not help the issue. I restarted spyder and my computer and this did not help. I tried Jupiter notebook and this did not help either.
Now to take my investigation one step further, I looked in my file folders at the hidden files to see where pandas-datareader could be hiding. When I go to C:\Users\J.Shepard\Anaconda3\pkgs and C:\Users\J.Shepard\Anaconda3\pkgs I see that pandas-0.23.0-py36h830ac7b_0 is installed but I cannot find anything that looks like pandas-datareader. In fact, when I search for "pandas-datareader" in my file search, I only see 2 text files with one line of code each. I do not know what to make of this discovery but I thought it might be helpful to someone else.
I hope that I have made a good case to prove that I have genuinely tried and failed to solve this problem on my own. Based on the number of other unresolved posts related to this same question, I believe that this is a question that deserves to be asked again.
I tried conda install pandas-datareader in Anaconda Prompt. It was installed and after my computer restarted, pandas-datareader worked in spyder 3.6.

"No Module Named" error in Jupyter

A very similar problem, but different solution.
When I try to do import speech_recognition as sr in Jupyter, it returns the no moduled named... error.
But doing it in a terminal is fine. So I looked through the sys.paths of both. In Jupyter:
//anaconda/lib/python3.5/site-packages/six-1.10.0-py3.5.egg',
'/Users/don',
'/Users/don/Users/don/Documents/PyModules/skynet',
'//anaconda/lib/python35.zip',
'//anaconda/lib/python3.5',
'//anaconda/lib/python3.5/plat-darwin',
'//anaconda/lib/python3.5/lib-dynload',
'/anaconda/lib/python3.5/site-packages/Sphinx-1.3.1-py3.5.egg',
'//anaconda/lib/python3.5/site-packages',
'//anaconda/lib/python3.5/site-packages/aeosa',
'//anaconda/lib/python3.5/site-packages/IPython/extensions',
'/Users/don/.ipython'
In terminal:
/Users/don/Applications/miniconda3/lib/python3.5/site-packages
/datashader-0.4.0-py3.5.egg
/Users/don
/Users/don/Users/don/Documents/PyModules/skynet
/Users/don/Applications/miniconda3/lib/python35.zip
/Users/don/Applications/miniconda3/lib/python3.5
/Users/don/Applications/miniconda3/lib/python3.5/plat-darwin
/Users/don/Applications/miniconda3/lib/python3.5/lib-dynload
/Users/don/Applications/miniconda3/lib/python3.5/site-packages
/Users/don/Applications/miniconda3/lib/python3.5/site-packages/setuptools-23.0.0-py3.5.egg
If I run this first in Jupyter, then the module speech_recognition imports fine:
sys.path.append('/Users/don/Applications/miniconda3/lib/python3.5/site-packages')
I'd just like to know what's going on? I've found a solution of sorts, but I'd like a more elegant one, so I don't have to do sys.path.append every time. This is particularly endemic to a bunch of modules I've installed lately using pip install <module>.
This fixed it, but I don't know how or why. I just did $ pip3 install jupyter, and everything magically imported correctly after that. Nevertheless, if someone could give me a clue about what got fixed (because I don't even know what went wrong), that would be great.

Python OpenCV: ImportError Module Not Found

I had installed OpenCV, and it was working just fine. But I noticed that a few libraries were missing.
So I decided to install another copy. I moved the working copy to another directory, and started the install of the new one. I was having trouble with this new install, so I cancelled it and moved my old OpenCV install back to its original directory.
But now, my old install doesn't work anymore. Each time I try to run something, it says "ImportError: No module named cv2" or "ImportError: No module named cv" (depending on what was being imported in the file).
What do I do to fix this? I remember encountering a similar issue the first time I installed and ran this copy of OpenCV, and something had to be changed with the Python Path to work correctly. I can't quite remember, and I'm kind of confused about why those settings would change, if they indeed have.
Please let me know what I can do to rectify this. I am using OS X 10.9. Thank you.
UPDATE: I added this to my .bash_profile: export PYTHONPATH=/Users/santosh/opencv-2.4.7/build/lib:$PYTHONPATH. But now when I run opencv samples, I get "Segmentation fault: 11". Any thoughts?
