Is there any function in which .wav file will generate - python

I am stuck on the .wav file extension, I used "gtts" method to convert text into the speech and save the file and it is working perfectly but the problem is "gtts" only support the .mp3 extension but I need the output file with .wav extension.
So I am question is, if any function like "gtts" to convert text into speech and save the file with .wav extension?
or anyone who already done work on this module. Please share your opinion. Thanks

Thank you for sharing the link, it is now working after entering the environmental path of the lib.

Editing a file with non .txt extension from python

I am trying to read a file with the extension .wbjn (ANSYS Workbench journal file) with basically contains python code per se, from python and change some information in it. But python does not recognize the .wbjn file, so I had to rename the .wbjn to .txt and make the changes.
But the problem with this approach is that when I trying to save the .txt extension back to .wbjn, the contents of the file is erased.
How do I do this in a better way ? Is there a library to read files with such extensions or is there another logic to solve this problem ?

pdf in python which consist data from .xlsx file and png image

I wanted to create a pdf using Python 3x.
The pdf should have some text data which is stored in a .xlsx file i.e.., it should read data from .xlsx file and write into the .pdf file.
Along with that, the pdf should have a png image of passport size.
I have come up with two basic ideas which are:-
First one is by writing a program which create a text file in which all required data from the pdf will be written along with the png image. After that the program will convert it into a pdf file.
Second one is by writing a program which will create the pdf file and write the data from .xlsx file as well as insert the image too into the pdf file.
I don't know whether these ideas can be used or not and how it can be used but after going through some researches on GFG, Stack overflow..., I have got totally confused and ended up asking this problem on this platform.
I have tried some modules like PIL, FPDF, reportlab,.. and am successfully able to create a pdf file with either texts or images but unable to combine both in the same text file.
Also I am confused in deciding which idea I should implement.
What I need from you guys is the answer of few of my questions which are:-
Are the ideas I mentioned above(second one specially) practically possible?
Can I make a program which imports data from file as well as png image into the same pdf. What modules and functions will be used there and how.
Please provide the code with comments or defining/elaborating the work of function used.
I hope I will get the desired result soon. Meanwhile I will try to solve it out by myself.

how to convert a .csv file to .bag in python?

I have some VLP16 LiDar data in .csv file format, have to load the data in Ros Rviz for which I need the Rosbag file(.bag). I have tried finding it in the Ros tutorial, what I got was to convert .bag to .csv
I'm not actually expert in processing .bag files but I think you need to go through your CSV file and manually add the values using rosbag Python API
Not direct answer but check this script in python, which might help you.
Regarding C++ I propose this repository: convert_csv_to_rosbag which is even closer to what you asked.
However, it seems that you need to do it by yourself based on these examples.

Error opening text file saved with .xls extension in python

I'm using labview to create and save data from an experiment. Labview itself creates a text file but saves it automatically with a .xls extension (word 1997-2003--it's an old setup that was never changed because it never broke). Whenever I go to open one of the data files, excel spits out this:
"The file you are trying to open, 'name.ext', is in a different format than specified by the file extension. Verify that the file is not corrupted and is from a trusted source before opening the file. Do you want to open the file now?"
I'm generating a lot of data, so I want to use python to sort it out and do some quick analysis over files in a directory.
The problem is that python doesn't like that it's a text file saved with a .xls extension. It can cycle through the directory just fine to get the file names, but whenver I actually try to open the file or do anything with it, I get the error in the image attached. This happens if I change the extension to .xls, .xlsx, or do nothing with it at all and let it try to open the original filename.
error message
I literally have hundreds of these .xls files. I know I can go through, open each one in excel and save as a real excel file by hand, but that will take hours. Can someone please help me figure a way around this error in python?
Dropbox Data File set
*Update. Matlab, when trying to read one of the files using xlsread, says this:
Error using xlsread (line 251)
File C:\Users\zane\Documents\Research Projects\PneuFish Project\Data\Nov 28 2016 ATI
Data\ATI_Data_2016Y_11M_28D_16h_36m_01s.xls not in Microsoft Excel Format.
Thank you!
You can use the module xlrd.
import xlrd
import csv
def csv_from_excel():
wb = xlrd.open_workbook('your_workbook.xls')
sh = wb.sheet_by_name('Sheet1')
your_csv_file = open('your_csv_file.csv', 'wb')
wr = csv.writer(your_csv_file, quoting=csv.QUOTE_ALL)
for rownum in xrange(sh.nrows):
wr.writerow(sh.row_values(rownum))
your_csv_file.close()

This will convert from .xls to .csv, which is easily manipulated with Python.
You've said that the file is a text file, so don't tell Python that it's an Excel file. Just use Python's open and read it as text, then do whatever you want with it. open doesn't care what extension a file has.
I'm going to guess that the format is actually tab-delimited. From memory, earlier versions of Excel would read in tab-delimited text files with the .xls extension without complaint, whereas csv files would always bring up the text import wizard, so this was a common dodge if saving data intended for Excel from a program that didn't support writing real Excel files.
If you want the LabVIEW code to write real Excel files in future, the Write to Measurement File express VI has an option to write in xlsx format. I'm not sure which version of LabVIEW first introduced this but it's been there for a few years now.

Cannot open WAV file in python using scipy.io.wavfile

I'm trying to work with WAV files using scipy.io.wavfile but the file I want to read has headers inside of it (NIST). I tried deleting the headers (that was dumb), I tried using other libraries (wave), custom functions found online but It still doesn't work. I get "Not a WAV file."
The .wav files are from mocha-timit, a speech training corpus.
can someone help me out?
Thanks.
Some things you could try:
(1) Use scikits.audiolab as in this question
(2) Convert the wav format from NIST format to the standard RIFF format with a tool like sndfile-convert from 'libsndfile' (You'll need to change the original file endings to .nist).
I got (2) to work on my own system and could read the files with scipy.io.wavfile.read
