So I've really been trying to get into AI recently, but I can't install Python (windows education) and I don't have admin rights. Which is a problem.
I have the portable version of python, from the .zip, which means I can't use pip. That to, due to admin restrictions, I can't use windows terminal.
So I do I install AMIL without python, because I've been struggling to.
Also, something totally different, what other languages should I use for AI? If you could answer that I would really appreciate it.

You can tell where this is going from the title..
I work at a small post house, and to replace one of our older Mac Pros, we were looking at building a mid-range PC (doesn't need to do much heavy lifting - not worth the price of a new Mac Pro)..
The problem is, we have a number of scripts that we use for footage transcoding and media management, and they were coded for our Mac-exclusive environment..
The basic procedure for setting up a new workstation is:
Install pip using easy_install
Use pip to install:
youtube_dl
pexpect
parsedatetime
XlsxWriter
Install MacPorts.. Use MacPorts to install ffmpeg, lftp, and ImageMagick. From there, install a couple custom in-house scripts (that rely mostly on the preceding dependencies and python 2.7 (via xcode).
I'm NOT going to ask how to adapt this to PC, since that would be way outside the scope of a single question. My question is, without a strong python developer on-site (the custom scripts were written years ago by someone who's no longer with the company), is it even feasible to adapt the install scripts to a PC environment? We have a freelance Python developer that we consult for minor script changes and he wasn't sure (his response was "I would first double check to make sure some of the utilities can even run on windows. I’m not 100% sure they can or not"). Do any of the utilities jump out as something that would not be adaptable to a Windows environment?

If you "don't need heavy lifting", why upset your workflow this way?
If you are determined to buy a PC, why not run Linux on it rather than Windows? The setup process you described will be almost exactly the same on a Linux machine except for involving a different package manager instead of MacPorts.

PS the Python modules you listed are all available via MacPorts. It would simplify the software management process to install everything that way.
I am working on a project in my school which requires me to install a couple python libraries. We have been blocked from using the CMD on the school computers which has proved problematic as this is the only way I know of which allows me to easily install any libraries. I also cannot see the location of the python install, I believe they are on some server which we do not have access too (although I am not confident in the matter). I believe each student is allocated space on the server so I can install some things from the internet (however quite a few things are blocked). Most of my class has overcome this by using their own laptops however this isn't an option for me. If needs be I can try install anything at home to bring into school on a memory stick. The school computers use windows 10 and python 3.6. If there's any more information you may need please say. Thank you in advance.
If you can install PyCharm then it has its terminal/cmd through you can install your python library. But important thing is that you must have permission to do it as you said you are on common server of the school.
i've created a student-managing-software for linux which use different packages (tkmessageboxes, glade-builder, gtk3+). Now, there are a lot of people how asked how it can be used under windows but i've no idea. So, does someone know how to use these packages under windows or is it impossible? THX
Well I would say it is up to the developer to make an actual installer for it, but you can get all of the dependencies through the MSYS2 project.
I have been trying to graph with python for some time now. I want to use matplotlib, but have hit so many bumps in the road. Previously, numpy and matplotlib have been installed, but I am stuck with this error: ImportError: numpy.core.multiarray failed to import. I'm running Lion on Mac. I think I'm using Python 2.7. I have also tried full walkthroughs, such as this as well: http://penandpants.com/2012/02/24/install-python/. After several installation methods like pip and homebrew I am afraid that there's a lot of knotted things going on with python on my computer. And I really don't know how to untangle it.
I am reasonably knowledgeable with programming and algorithms, but I lack the know-how on how all the add-ons such as matplotlib that connect with python or how a text editor that can execute my code like Sublime Text 2 accesses them. So, as much as I would like to aid this asking-a-question process by letting you know what versions I am using, I don't really know how. Any guidance to how python connects to these things would be really appreciated :)
Ultimately, I wish to start from scratch with this whole mess, reinstalling python and then matplotlib from the ground up--but I'm not totally sure how. So, I guess my final question is how do I do that, or if that is just a wrong line of thinking how do I proceed if I want to graph some mathy things with python?
Sorry for the long winded question, I'll appreciate any help even a nudge in the right direction in learning how my computer organizes python on my computer!

I've had similar problems and the best solution I found was to use MacPorts for managing python and my installed modules. The things that I particularly like about using MacPorts for this are:
You can easily install multiple python versions (with modules separately installed for each installation)
You can select which python installation is the default (whether it is one installed by MacPorts or your OS X python installation).
Many MacPorts packages have optional variants so you can easily customize how they are installed (e.g., should numpy use the ATLAS library from MacPorts or from OS X) .
If you screw up your installation, you can easily wipe MacPorts from your system without worrying about breaking anything (almost everything installed by MacPorts is put under /opt).
I'm new to Mac (as of yesterday), and I have Snow Leopard. I've just easy_install virtualenv, and it doesn't work. I read a couple other SO questions about the same exception I had, and it seems that I need XCode installed. Before I go down a rabbit hole, installing a 3.5Gb Apple-specific code library for something Python related, and who knows what else at this point, I figured I'd stop by here and find out what's typical for Django developers with Macs.
What tools / libraries that are Python/Django specific, but non-project specific do you commonly use?
Is XCode really necessary to use virtualenv (and potentially other things, or is this just one way to solve my issue?
Are there other Mac issues that you've run into with basic Django development?

You will need XCode, yes. You'll need it for any libraries that need compiling, apart from anything else.
Please don't install MacPorts, though, as recommended by titaniumdecoy. It tries to install its own versions of everything, which is unnecessarily confusing, and takes you out of the usual Mac development stack. A much better package installation tool is homebrew, which uses the built-in tools to install software via a series of recipes. It's excellent.
I started use Mac a couple days ago and I have same problem. You need XCode, yes!
Packgers manager, like apt-get, you can try HomeBrew.
To develop in django, I use TextMate, with some bundles to django.
To develop in python I use pip, virtualenv and virtualenvwrapper, this is awesome.
As an iOS developer I can't comment on the specifics of Django development, but the following should help get you started.
Install macports immediately. You can install virtually any unix tool you can think of with a single command, including virtualenv. (Update: Use HomeBrew instead as suggested in other answers: see comments for why.)
You need to install Xcode to get the Mac OS X developer toolchain (gcc, etc.) unless you prefer to install everything yourself.
If you use Eclipse, the Pydev plug-in is one way to go. TextMate is probably the most popular text editor on the mac. The Python Wiki has a comprehensive rundown of your options.
