After reading many thread here i didn't resolved my problem, my code works with a free database created in this website (freemysqlhosting.net), but it doesn't work with my own database on a hosting webiste. My code ('******' for privacy):

Here the error:
pymysql.err.OperationalError: (2003, "Can't connect to MySQL server on 'sql.******.it' ([Errno 101] Network is unreachable)")
From command line I would use ping, and then nc. I mean, just cut things to minimum, an check if that works. So first validate if host is valid, and your host can resolve it to IP. Next check if you can connect to that host, on provided port. Here is sample in python.
If I have to bet - I would say, you are missing port... Just double check all names, docs provided by the hosting.
Have you tried using mysql.connector? That's what I use maybe it will work

This is a fairly common question but even using the answers on SO like here but I still can't connect.
When I setup my connection to pyodbc I can connect with the following:

and it works.
However to do a .read_sql() in pandas I need to connect with sqlalchemy.
I have tried with both hosted connections and pass-through pyodbc connections like the below:
quoted = urllib.parse.quote_plus('DRIVER={SQL Server Native Client 11.0};Server=ip;Database=db;UID=user;PWD=pass;Port=port;')
engine = sqlalchemy.create_engine('mssql+pyodbc:///?odbc_connect={}'.format(quoted))

I have tried with both SERVER=ip,port format and the separate Port=port parameter like above but still no luck.
The error I'm getting is Login failed for user 'user'. (18456)
Any help is much appreciated.
I assume that you want to create a DataFrame so when you have a cnxn you can pass it to Pandas read_sql_query function.
Example:
cnxn = pyodbc.connect('your connection string')
query = 'some query'
df = pandas.read_sql_query(query, conn)

It's obviously string parsing error.
You missed to provide parameter to %s printout.
If you cannot fix it step back and try another approach.
Use another script to achieve the same and get back to you bug tomorrow :-)
My script is doing pretty much the same:
1. Connect to SQL Server
-> fetchmany
-> multipart upload to s3
-> COPY INTO Snowflake table

I'm developing a script that it's supossed to read data from a Microsoft SQL database and display it in a nice format. Also, It's supossed to write into the database as well. The issue is that I'm not able to connect to the server.
I'm using this code:

I've changed some data to keep privacy.
This give me some clues about what it's going on:
The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication
But I don't know how to fix it. I've seen that some people uses
integratedSecurity=true
But I don't know if there is something like this on pymssql or even if that it's a good idea.
Also, I don't need to use pymssql at all. If you know any other library that can perform what I need, I don't mind changing it.

I'm new to Python + Flask + Flask Appbuilder but I am a professional Java developer. I've been working on a small app that I initially used SqlLite and now I want to move into SQL Server, which will be the production database.
I can't seem to get the connection right.
I have tried using a DSN but I get an error message indicating there is a mismatch between the driver and something else (Python?). The searches on this error seem to indicate the driver is 32 bit and Python is 64. Still I can't get that working so I thought I'd try to connect directly. I'd prefer not using a DSN anyway. I've searched the web and can't find an example that works for me.
I have imported pyodbc. This is the current way I'm trying to connect:

The port should be specified through a comma. Specify the connection string as
DRIVER={SQL Server};SERVER=devsql07,1433;DATABASE.....
